I was so proud that I had to show my husband. He was actually quite impressed. But then, he pointed out the concrete foundation below the siding. It too was covered with rust stains. Like I mentioned before, we use a hose to water our garden and plants. Well the hose has sprung a few leaks over the years, to say the least. Anyway, hard water, high in iron content, was inadvertently spraying on the side of our house. The hard water left rust stains on not only the siding, but also the concrete foundation.
I took my husband's words as a challenge. The next day, again on my lunch break, I added a half cup of SIO to a bucket of warm water. I scrubbed the effected area. And again, in a matter of minutes, the rust stains were gone. I rinsed the foundation, then let dry. When I got back home from work that night, the concrete was dry and the rust stains were nowhere to be found.|
