I recently noticed that dripping water from an outside faucet had created a rust stain on the concrete sidewalk. I'll be the first to admit that it's not a major problem, but it does make the sidewalk look old and ugly. That particular thought had me go looking around for solutions to the problem.

Rust Stain on ConcreteI drove over to the local hardware store on the theory that there would be an employee familiar with the problem; sure enough, there was. The employee brought me over to the cleaning agents section and handed me a bottle of Super Iron Out. He told me that the product not only works on concrete, but it will remove rust stains from toilets, sinks, tubs, and even clothes. He said it was the best rust remover. After all, he's the expert, so I took his advice.

I took the bottle home and after a thorough read of the instructions, I went ahead and poured the recommended amount on the stain, then scrubbed. After letting it soak for a while, I washed it off as instructed. I couldn't have asked for a better result. The rust stain on my concrete sidewalk disappeared completely, they look like new.

The rust colored stain came right up and left the concrete looking new again. Super Iron Out is now a permanent fixture in my cleaning arsenal. And if anyone ever asks me what technique I use for rust removal, I'm telling them Super Iron Out!
